Nicholas Jamerson to Headline September’s (Not-So) Full Moon Pickin’ Party at the Museum of Appalachia
NORRIS, Tenn. – The Museum of Appalachia will host its next outdoor concert event—unofficially dubbed the (Not-So) Full Moon Pickin’ Party—on Thursday, September 19, featuring acclaimed Kentucky singer-songwriter Nicholas Jamerson. While there won’t be a full moon that evening, the event carries on the spirit of the Museum’s popular Full Moon Pickin’ Party series with an evening of live music, good food, and community gathering.
Known for his poetic songwriting and soulful delivery, Nicholas Jamerson has built a devoted fan base across Appalachia and beyond. Whether performing solo or as part of the popular duo Sundy Best, his music blends bluegrass, gospel, and country into a sound that’s heartfelt and unmistakably Southern.
The evening kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with a performance by East Tennessee favorites Sleepy Eyed John’s, followed by Nicholas Jamerson taking the stage at 7:00 p.m.
Presented by Stephenson Realty & Auction, Boyd’s Jig & Reel, and Yee-Haw Brewing Co., the event will feature on-site food, cold beer from Yee-Haw Brewing, live demonstrations from traditional Appalachian artisans, and a meet & greet with the Museum’s beloved animals—all wrapping up around 8:30 p.m. Plus, admission includes a tour of the Museum grounds prior to the show.
Tickets are $20 for adults (ages 13 and up), $15 for Museum Members, and free for children 12 and under. Tickets are available now at museumofappalachia.org. Advance purchase is encouraged.
For those coming from out of town, lodging is available next door at Appalachia Ridge—a luxury RV retreat just steps from the concert grounds. Visit appalachiaridge.com to learn more.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. This is a family-friendly event, and alcohol will be available to guests 21+ with valid ID. No pets, coolers, or outside food or drink are permitted (service animals welcome).
