Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site will be hosting its 2nd Annual Gala and Benefit Dinner on Friday, May 22, at 6 p.m.

The financial challenge of maintaining 47 acres of historic property that includes eleven historic buildings, a cemetery, a museum and education center, a prehistoric cave, and a wooded area is a monumental task. Roughly half of the funds necessary to manage the day-to-day operations of Tipton-Haynes come from the State of Tennessee through the Tennessee Historical Commission. Proceeds from the benefit dinner will support the Tipton-Haynes Historical Association, Inc., a non-profit in operating the historic site.

This dinner will be prepared by your Tipton-Haynes Board of Trustees and staff with a choice of beef spaghetti or chicken alfredo with a Caesar salad, grilled vegetables, garlic bread and a dessert. Tipton-Haynes is also offering tours and a visitation of the historic structures with the meal. It is the wish of the site for everyone to come out and enjoy the afternoon as you support two displaced AmeriCorps Service members.

Reservations are required and are limited to a certain number. Tickets are $35.00 per person. For the purchase of your tickets, please call 423-926-3631 or email info@tipton-haynes.org. Reservations end on May 15

Tipton-Haynes is a Tennessee Historical Commission State-Owned Historic Site. Tipton-Haynes is located in South Johnson City at 2620 South Roan Street.
