Mike Brown, a South Knox community leader and former 9th District Commissioner, passed away Friday.
His wife relayed the sad news online.
Brown, in his later years, had some health problems but appeared at meetings to speak on various issues, especially about South Knox County.
Known for his leadership, wisdom and humor, Brown will be missed by the entire region.
Arrangements are being made for final services. RIP, Commissioner Brown.
