Dine & Discover: Harrison Mayes, a Legacy

Take a closer look at the life, work, and enduring legacy of East Tennessee artist Harrison Mayes, one of the featured artists in No-Man’s-Land.
Lindsey Gallaher, president of the Museum of Appalachia, will share insights into Mayes’ distinctive artistic practice and explore how his work and legacy are being preserved for future generations. Discover more about this fascinating artist and his connection to the region as we consider his place within the story of Appalachian art.
The lecture is free and open to the public. Bring your own lunch or make it a true Dine & Discover and purchase a lunch through the KMA for $15 per person.
Lunch will be provided by Ham ’n Goodys and includes your choice of sandwich:
- Ham, turkey, chicken salad, or pimento cheese on wheat or sourdough
- Gluten-free bread available
- Black bean burger on wheat or sourdough

All lunches include chips, a chocolate chip cookie, and a lemon cookie.
