The Knox County Grants & Community Development Department (KCCD) Public Meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 over ZOOM. A link to the meeting will be located at the following URL: https://www.knoxcounty.org/communitydevelopment/index.php.
The Knox County Grants & Community Development (KCGCD) is proposing a Substantial Amendment to its U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved FY 2021 Annual Action Plan. This amendment proposes to increase the allocation of funding of CDBG funds for Homesource of east Tennessee from $91,240 to $140,000. These funds will assist low- to moderate-income residents of Knox County through the expansion of the Willow Place Community Room. The public comment period is July 22, 2022 through August 23, 2022.
The public hearing will occur when this Substantial Amendment is presented to Knox County Commission for approval on August 22, 2022. This will be a part of the regularly scheduled County Commission meeting at 5:00p.m., located in the Large Assembly Room on the Main Level of the City-County Building.
Knox County residents are encouraged to share their verbal or written comments about the County’s Substantial Amendment at the virtual ZOOM meeting on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Draft copies of the amendment will be available online or by calling KCCD at (865) 215-3945.
