This Saturday, September 5, Keep Knoxville Beautiful will be hosting its 4th annual South Knoxville Community Cleanup from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Cleanups will take place throughout South Knoxville.

Leaders from various South Knoxville neighborhoods and local community organizations will collect cleanup supplies at Sam Duff Park, 4060 Chapman Hwy, at 9 a.m. then return to volunteers waiting at their designated locations to pick up litter. Participating neighborhood associations include Old Sevier, Island Home Park, Lake Glen Lane, South Doyle, South Woodlawn, Vestal, and Lindbergh Forest. Other clubs and groups that are participating are UT’s Alpha Kappa Psi, the East TN Climbers, FwF Helping Hands, SAM, LLC, and Scooterville,

Individuals who do not have an official group will be participating in a cleanup of Goose Creek at Mary Vestal Park, 407 Maryville Pike beginning at 9 a.m.

In total there are almost 200 volunteers that will be picking up litter in South Knoxville this Saturday.
