70th Annual Karns Community Fair
The 70th Annual Karns Community Fair will be held at Karns High School this Saturday, July 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Karns Community Fair is Tennessee’s longest-running community fair and is presented by Smithbilt Homes, All Occasions Party Rentals, Gordon’s Drugs, Larsen Jay, Randy McNally, Salon Matias and Texas Roadhouse.
Attractions will include games, craft vendors, fresh cooked food, fresh local vegetables and baked goods, shaved ice treats, radio-controlled aircraft demonstrations, rib eating contest sponsored by Texas Roadhouse, muscle car and antique car show, axe throwing, Lifestar helicopter, Knox County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, TN Highway Patrol and the TN Army National Guard.
The Karns Community Fair is an opportunity to bring the community together and build relationships. It also allows various school and youth organizations to fund raise. Some of the high school groups participating this year are Band, Baseball, Bowling, Cheer, Culinary, Dance, DECA, FFA, Football, JROTC, Softball, Special Education and local Girl Scout and Boy Scout units.
