ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION INVITES KNOXVILLE RESIDENTS TO JOIN 2023 WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S ON SEPT 23

Walk to End Alzheimer’s is World’s Largest Event Dedicated to Alzheimer’s Care, Support and Research

 

Knoxville, TN – The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Knoxville residents to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Zoo Knoxville (3500 Knox Zoo Drive) in Knoxville, TN.

The schedule for the Knoxville Walk to End Alzheimer’s:

8:30 a.m. Registration

10 a.m. Promise Garden Opening Ceremony

10:30 a.m. Walk begins

On Walk Day, participants honor those affected by Alzheimer’s with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony — a mission-focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. The colors of the Promise Garden flowers represent people’s connection to Alzheimer’s — their personal reasons to end the disease.

Registration and Check-In Open at 8:30 a.m.

COME EARLY! Activities for the whole family including:

  • Team Photo Area – Get your Team photo shot and share on social media using #ENDALZKnox
  • Pick up your Team sign after you check-in.
  • Make your way to the Promise Garden – Pick up your pinwheel flower and write down your dedication
  • Go over to the “Why I Walk” Tribute Wall – Walk participants are encouraged to write their “why” on the 2023 Walk Banner
  • Visit our Photo Booth area and use our purple props for photos with friends and family
  • Stop by our Kids Zone area for face painting, crafts, prizes and cornhole
  • Visit our Community Mission area and learn more about our Vendor Sponsors
  • Stop by our Alzheimer’s Association Information Booth to learn more us and how you can get involved
