MARYVILLE, Tenn. — Book lovers across East Tennessee have until Saturday, April 25, to participate in Book Crawl 2026, a multi-stop literary adventure designed to connect readers with locally owned shops. The event encourages participants to visit four participating bookstores, discover new reads, and meet fellow readers while supporting small businesses throughout the region.

Participating locations include:

Participants can begin the crawl by picking up an official card at any of the four locations. Each stop earns a stamp, and completed cards can be turned in at the final bookstore visited for a chance to win a $50 gift card from that shop.

In addition to the giveaway, participants will receive 10% off purchases at each location during the event. The crawl also offers an opportunity to explore inviting, thoughtfully curated bookstore spaces and connect with other members of the reading community.

“Each independent bookstore offers a unique perspective on storytelling and community engagement,” said Lisa Misosky, owner of Southland Books and Cafe. “This crawl creates a meaningful way for readers to engage with those perspectives while supporting the local businesses that sustain them.”

Organizers encourage attendees to plan their route, invite friends, and turn the crawl into a full day or weekend experience. Book Crawl 2026 celebrates stories, community, and the enduring appeal of independent bookstores, one stop at a time.
