As the calendar turns toward spring, local tennis players will be flocking to the tennis courts. City of Knoxville tennis programming will begin Friday, March 1st. Singles and doubles leagues for all NTRP levels are being offered at Tyson and West Hills Tennis Centers.

The City will offer daytime and evening leagues to accommodate the schedules and skills of all players. Singles leagues will begin the week of March 17th.  The cost is $30 for six weeks (excluding balls) or $39 with balls.  Doubles leagues will begin the week of March 31st. Players will register as individuals and be paired with a partner each week. The cost is $30 for eight weeks and includes balls. Registration for these leagues will open on March 10th.

This year marks first season the new West Hills Tennis Center is open. The building, which was made possible by the City of Knoxville and the Greater Knoxville Tennis Association, features indoor restrooms with showers.

Members of the tennis community are also invited to reserve a court at Tyson or West Hills on their own. There is a $5 per court fee for 1.5 hours of court time for walk-ins or $10 for reservations. This fee is per court, not per person. Both facilities are open daily 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
