The Farragut Museum will partner with Historic Houses of Knoxville in their annual fall community outreach program, Movies at the Museums. The Farragut Museum will show “Herbie: Fully Loaded” on Friday, September 18, at the greenspace behind the Healthy Place to Play playground at Farragut Town Hall.
“I am excited the Farragut Museum is able to join this special event in Knoxville. We will have a food truck, and we have also asked the VW Dubz Club to bring antique VW cars to showcase,” said Kristi Vining, Historic Resources Coordinator for the Town of Farragut.
:Herbie: Fully Loaded” was co-written by Robert Ben Garant, a 1988 graduate of Farragut High School.
Movies at the Museum is free and open to the public. The event starts at 7:30 for a chance to play on the playground, admire vintage cars, visit the Farragut Museum, and enjoy the food truck. The movie starts at about 8:15. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair.
Other Movies at the Museums include September 4: “Goonies” at the Mabry Hazen House; September 11: “Monty Python and The Holy Grail” at James White’s Fort; September 25: “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” at Blount Mansion; October 2: “Ghostbusters” at Marble Springs; and October 9: “UP!” at Historic Westwood.
