Speaker: Devin Payne | Executive Director of Street Hope TN

Topic: Every 2 minutes a child is sold for sex in the United States and the average age of that child is 13. This is Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking, the commercial sexual exploitation of children in the United States in exchange for something of value, like money, food, shelter or drugs, and it’s happening here in our community. Street Hope TN is a non-profit organization that exists to eliminate the sexual exploitation and trafficking of these children in East TN through awareness, prevention, restoration, and prayer, and is currently working to open the first safe home in East TN for child survivors of trafficking.

Time: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. (arrive between 11:45 – 12:00 to sign in and begin lunch)

Speaker Bio:

Devin Payne is the Executive Director of Street Hope TN. She is a native of Knoxville with a passionate love for Jesus and “the least of these”, and a desire to end modern-day slavery. Devin spent her time in college working with multiple non-profit organizations, and after graduating Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee, she worked as the Youth Initiatives Director at Metro Drug Coalition.

Devin became the Executive Director of Street Hope TN in February of 2017, and since then has focused her time on accomplishing Street Hope’s mission of eliminating the sexual exploitation and trafficking of children and providing safe environments to foster healing and hope through Jesus Christ.
