South Knoxville Senior Center added to open house schedule; Early Voting begins July 17th

The Knox County Election Commission is hosting three open houses/informational sessions on its new Verity paper-based voting system next week. They are:

 

  • Monday, July 6th from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at The Change Center, 203 Harriet Tubman Street, Knoxville, 37915

 

  • Wednesday, July 8th from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the South Knoxville Senior Center, 6729 Martel Lane, Knoxville, 37920

 

  • Saturday, July 11th from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at its Downtown West Early Voting Center, 1645 Downtown West Blvd., Knoxville, 37919

 

Election Commission representatives will show voters the voting system and how to complete and cast a paper ballot.

 

More information, including videos on how to cast a ballot and a flyer on the proper way to complete a ballot, can be found on the front page of www.knoxvotes.org. Early Voting for the State and Federal Primary/County General/Town of Farragut Municipal Election begins Friday, July 17th.

Voter registration forms will be available for anyone wishing to register to vote. The voter registration deadline for the August 6, 2020 Election is Tuesday, July 7th.

Everyone is welcome; please note that social distancing will be enforced and attendees may have to wait in line, depending on attendance. Masks are highly encouraged.
