Knoxville, Tenn.— This January, get rewarded for recycling! Bring your
outdated phone book to the zoo for recycling and get a great deal on zoo
admission, thanks to the annual partnership between YP® and Knoxville Zoo.
Now through Jan. 31, 2013, visitors can present an outdated phone book for
recycling at the zoo’s ticket window and receive one free admission ticket with
the purchase of a regular paid admission ticket. Since the zoo is currently
celebrating Penguin Discount Days, when admission is half-price, this means visitors who bring an
outdated phone book can get two admissions for half the price of one regular admission.
A January visit to Knoxville Zoo is one of the area’s best-kept secrets; many of the animals, such as the
red pandas, otters and big cats, enjoy the crisp weather and are more active during the winter months.
The zoo also has plenty of indoor viewing areas for animals such as chimpanzees, gorillas, elephants
and penguins on days when it is too cool for them to be outdoors, as well as the perfect indoor place to
play, Wee Play Zoo.
The annual recycling program is part of Knoxville Zoo’s and YP®’s commitment to recycling and
conservation. Special thanks to event sponsor YP®. This promotion is not valid with any other
coupon, discount or offer and ends Jan. 31, 2013.
