Nourish Knoxville Kicks Off 22nd Season of Market Square Farmers Market
The Market Square Farmers Market returns for its 22nd season on Saturday, May 3, bringing over 130 local vendors to the heart of downtown Knoxville. The market will be open every Saturday (9 AM – 1 PM) and Wednesday (10 AM – 1 PM) through November 22, 2025.
From fresh produce and meats to baked goods, plants, and handmade crafts, the market remains a cornerstone for both locals and visitors seeking fresh, seasonal, and locally made products.
Several community-focused programs return this year:
- SNAP & Double Up Food Bucks: SNAP purchases are matched up to $20/day for fruits and vegetables (available every Wednesday & Saturday, May – November).
- Nourish Kids: Held 2nd Saturdays (May – November), this free educational program gives kids ages 2 – 12 a fresh produce sample, the opportunity to participate in a hands-on activity, and $5 in Produce Bucks.
- Nourish Moves: A free walking program hosted every Wednesday, offering $3 in Produce Bucks per visit, plus prizes like a Mast General Store gift card after 20,000 steps.
“Our farmers market is more than a place to shop – it’s a gathering space that brings the community together around fresh food, local makers, and meaningful programs,” said Mizuki Hanford, Markets Manager of Nourish Knoxville. “We’re looking forward to another lively season of connection and abundance in the heart of downtown.”
Nourish Knoxville is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization cultivating healthy communities by supporting relationships between local farmers, producers, and the public.
The 2025 Market Square Farmers Market is made possible by presenting sponsor Grayson Subaru, with additional support from the Downtown Knoxville Alliance and the City of Knoxville.
