S.O.U.L.S. Youth Choir, an international youth choir located in Knoxville, is singing a tribute to Mary Costa at The Cathedral Concert Series on Sunday, May 31, at 5:30 p.m. on Northshore Drive. Admission is free and open to the public. Mary Costa is now 96 years old and still amazing!
Maestro Brian Salesky is conducting the Amadeus Concert Ensemble in a program titled RACHMANINOFF & FRIENDS (the music of Russian composers: Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Sergei Rachmaninoff. Mikhail Glinka, and Alexander Alyabyev.)
The lavish, romantic program features the local debut of South Korean soprano SUNWOO PARK, winner of the prestigious 2025 William Sullivan Foundation Award. Ms. Park will be heard in heavenly songs and dramatic arias by Rachmaninoff, Alyabyev, and Tchaikovsky, whose Sleeping Beauty Waltz will be dedicated to Knoxville’s MARY COSTA, Disney’s Sleeping Beauty. The Amadeus Concert Ensemble orchestra will be featured in three thrilling, popular works: Glinka’s Overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Flight of the Bumblebee” and “The Three Wonders” from The Tale of Tsar Saltan. Also making their ACE debut in this concert will be the S.O.U.L.S. Youth Choir.
