SOUTH-DOYLE 2023-2024 CHORAL PROGRAMS

The South Doyle High School Singers is an audition choir at SDHS. They are a group of seventeen 10th-12th graders who participate in this ensemble year-round. This past spring, Singers traveled to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall with over 250 students from around the country. This choir enjoys caroling to all seven elementary feeder schools and the middle school each year around the holidays. This past November the SDHS Singers sent ten students in 9-12th grade to the Tennessee All East Honor Choir at Lee University: Liam Milbourn, Alex Young, Paige Loy, Charity Davis, Lexy Garren, Annika Kallstrom, Zane Kragenbrink, Titus Hunter, Claire Overdorf, and Chloe Wise.

Every year the South Doyle Choirs put together a Madrigal Dinner for the community. The SDHS Madrigal Dinner brings in over 225 people for dinner and a show set in the 1600s. It is a time-honored tradition of the South Doyle Choral Department.

This year’s spring musical is “Mamma Mia” with music from the famous pop group ABBA. The show runs April 18-20th at 7 p.m. and a 2 p.m. matinee show on April 20th in the SDHS Auditorium. The choir department will also participate in the JB Lyle Choral Festival and the Dollywood Choral Festival this coming spring. The final choral concert of the year is Monday, May 13th at 7 p.m.
