The Knoxville City Council Beer Board had more than two dozen items on its agenda Tuesday and breezed through most of them in the one-hour-plus meeting. At-large Councilwoman Debbie Helsley pushed them along, hoping to finish in time for the scheduled city council meeting at 6 p.m.

Organizers for three special events approached and received beer permits, including the Appalachian Mountain Bike Club for its 17th Annual Fall Festival at Baker Creek; Dragonfly Aerial and Circus Arts Studio for its November 6 and 7 Circus After Dark fundraiser; and The Empty Stocking Fund for its Scare on the Square happening last weekend.

Beer permits were approved or approved pending some documentation for: Alice in Appalachia, Casa Mar Restaurant, Cycy’s Food Market, Kame Sake, Pour Taproom, Summit Hill Shell, Weigels #131, and Ya-Ya’s Hall of Fame Bar.

Applicants with permits on file and seeking an extension until ready to open included Buffleheads, Country Road Knoxville, Crafty Bastard, Good Judy’s, La Patrona, Market La Amistad, No Comply Pizza and Ruff Life Hideout.
