U.S. Bank sponsors second annual Acton Children’s Business Fair

U.S. Bank is sponsoring for the second year in a row the Acton Children’s Business Fair. The second annual event that’s open to students grades 1-8 will take place Sunday, March 5, from 1–3 p.m. at The Mill and Mine in downtown Knoxville (227 W Depot Avenue). The one-day marketplace will showcase the creativity, innovation, and business acumen of 50 young entrepreneurs from the Knoxville area.

“We are excited to once again take part in this special event that teaches kids about business and entrepreneurship,” said U.S. Bank Small Business Regional Leader Sable Manske. “Young entrepreneurs will have the learning experience of developing their own brand, creating a product or service and crafting a marketing strategy.”

The event is also sponsored by Little River Montessori School, and Little River Acton Academy, along with the support of donors and volunteers.

The 2023 Acton Children’s Business Fair is encouraging all eligible youth to apply and is still seeking sponsors.

“Last year’s event was a huge success, raising nearly $2,000, split between approximately 25 student vendors and young entrepreneurs,” said Director of Little River Montessori and Acton Academy Jamie Watts. “This year’s event will build on that success with even more vendors and exciting new opportunities for growth and development.”
