On Tuesday, September 22, Variety – the Children’s Charity of Eastern Tennessee hosts its annual golf tournament at Willow Creek Golf Club. Prior to the start of play, special guests—a local child with special needs and his family—will receive a customized adaptive therapeutic trike designed to support mobility and independence courtesy of Variety’s Kids on the Go! program.
“Variety of Eastern Tennessee is so thankful to the sponsors and participants of this year’s sold-out golf tournament for raising $410,500, which represents our largest fundraiser to date,” said Carol Fusco, Executive Director of Variety of Eastern Tennessee. “Event sponsors support Variety’s life-changing programs like Kids on the Go!, providing more than 200 pieces of mobility equipment to local children needing specialized care in 2026.”
Presenting sponsors for the 2026 golf tournament—BGIS, LTCI, and Regal—along with proceeds from this charity event allow Variety of Eastern Tennessee to assist local at-risk, physically challenged, and neglected children. All participants in the Variety of Eastern Tennessee golf tournament will receive breakfast, lunch and a gift bag.
Variety – the Children’s Charity empowers children with special needs to grow, socialize, and express themselves independently, making an impact on national and local levels through medical equipment donations, specialized therapeutic programs, and well-placed donations. Regal established the local chapter of Variety in 2001 and has since raised over $16 million to aid children in East Tennessee.
