Strata-G sponsors reduced adoption fees for adult felines

Strata-G and Young-Williams Animal Center are partnering to help more cats find homes during the “Cinco de Gato” adoption special.

On Thursday, May 5, adoption fees for adult cats and senior cats will be just $5 at both Young-Williams Animal Center, 3201 Division St., off Sutherland Avenue, and the Young-Williams Animal Village, 6400 Kingston Pike on Bearden Hill. The promotion is sponsored by Strata-G, a Knoxville-based environmental services firm.

“Spring marks the beginning of kitten season,” said Jeff Ashin, Young-Williams Animal Center CEO.  “By offering this adoption special, thanks to Strata-G’s generous support, we’ll be able to adopt more cats and make room for new ones as intake increases.”

“Cinco de Gato” is a festive promotion timed with the popular Cinco de Mayo to help raise awareness of the need for spring adoptions.

Strata-G chose to sponsor “Cinco de Gato” as part of the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and its philosophy to make a difference in the communities where we live and work.

“Underwriting this promotion allows us to support animal welfare in our community,” said Dan Hurst, president and founder of Strata-G. “We want to help Young-Williams Animal Center find wonderful homes for the cats in the shelter, and this was the best way for our company to assist their team.”

Every adopted animal will receive the services covered by the standard fees, which include veterinary physical exam, spay/neuter surgery, some standard vaccinations, microchip with registration and more. The regular fees range from $50 to $100.
