Young-Williams Animal Center has a temporary but urgent need for dry dog, cat and puppy food to feed the more than 350 animals currently in the shelter’s care.

Donors can drop off items in-person during business hours from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or use a delivery service such as Instacart to deliver food to either location: Young-Williams Animal Center at 3201 Division St., or Young-Williams Animal Village at 6400 Kingston Pike.

“High intake in addition to logistical issues are depleting our food supply until our next expected shipment,” says Janet Testerman, CEO of Young-Williams Animal Center. “Your support in the interim will allow us to care for the hundreds of pets that are already here at our two locations and other vulnerable animals that enter daily.”

The highest need is for dry adult dog food; the shelter’s adult dogs alone eat approximately 800 pounds of food weekly. Every bag of kibble ensures a pet’s bowl isn’t empty.

Supporters also are welcome to shop Young-Williams Animal Center’s Amazon Wishlist or give a monetary donation at young-williams.org/donate.
