Dogs Dive In at the 4th Annual Pooch Plunge!
Sunday, September 7, 2025, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Knoxville-area dog owners and their four-legged friends are invited to make a splash at the 4th Annual Pooch Plunge, a fundraiser for the Smokin’ Salmon Swim Team. September 6th will be an epic dog pool party that you and your pooch won’t want to miss! Pooch Plunge will run from 11am-2pm at the Allen Rosen Aquatic Center located at the Knoxville Jewish Alliance, 6800 Deane Hill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37919. This event is a fundraiser benefitting the AJCC Smokin’ Salmon swim team, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to Adopt a Golden Knoxville.
There is fun to be had by every pup! We have a large pool for the avid swimmer, a small and separately fenced shallow baby pool for our smaller breeds, and a large grassy area for the pups that wish for a less drenching experience.
It might be a pool party for the dogs, but it will be just as fun for the humans! We will have music, pooch-themed cocktails (think Bloodhound Mary and Mutt-mosa!), food trucks, vendors, door prizes and more.
Event coordinator Kaleigh McVety, veterinarian and swim team parent, says, “This is one of my favorite events of the year! Everyone is welcome with or without a doggy escort, so please come out and enjoy yourselves while supporting a great cause!”
