Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee thanks the community for their overwhelming generosity during the food bank’s 15th annual Double Your Donation telethon on December 4th. Thanks to $850,000 in matching gifts from our sponsors, and the tremendous support of East Tennessee, the match was successfully met, resulting in a total of $1,701,032 in donations.
“We’re beyond thankful for the incredible support shown during our 15th Annual Double Your Donation event,” said Elaine Streno, CEO of Second Harvest. “Your gifts mean so much, especially now, when families are facing impossible financial choices during the coldest months of the year. Because of you, we can provide more than 5 million meals across the 18 counties we serve. That’s delivering hope when it’s needed most.”
