Honor Fountain City Day 2026 is Monday
Fountain City Town Hall invites everyone to attend Honor Fountain City Day in the Park, an annual Memorial Day event that is a reflection of shared community pride, history and spirit.
The fun starts at 10 a.m. in Fountain City Park on Monday, May 25, as a bagpipe duet opens the family-friendly festivities that include live music, games and rides, food trucks and craft vendors.
The Smokyland Barbershop Quartet, Kyle Campbell and Friends and the Tennessee Wind Symphony Jazz Band will also take the stage to provide a musical background to the celebration.
Children can find Uncle Sam, who will be strolling the grounds, to receive a free flag, and they can also look for the rubber ducks hidden around the park. The ducks can be turned in for free ride tickets at the Fountain City Town Hall table.
Special this year is the What’s Next Knoxville? booth. This informational booth will be set up to take questions and gauge what residents envision for the future regarding the City of Knoxville and Knoxville-Knox County Planning’s Comprehensive Plan. Event organizer and FCTH Chair Joyce Lee told The Focus that this booth will be “a great time for folks to come out and speak about what they want for their community.”
At 3 p.m., the Community Awards will be presented at the Fountain City Park Gazebo, followed by the patriotic Memorial Day Ceremony at 4 p.m.
“This event is growing by the day,” Lee shared last week. “We are turning away vendors! We are looking at an epic celebration!”
FCTH will follow Monday’s Honor Fountain City Day by hosting Free Fishing Day at Fountain City Lake on Saturday, June 6. For more information on these events and FCTH, please visit www.fountaincitytownhall.org.
