Autism Breakthrough Foundation’s Signature Wine Event, Take Home the Cellar, Returns August 21
The Autism Breakthrough Foundation is thrilled to announce the return of its annual wine tasting fundraiser, Take Home the Cellar, on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at The Standard in Downtown Knoxville.
As in past years, guests are invited to bring two identical bottles of wine: one will be tasted and judged, and the other will go into the “cellar.” The individual who brings the wine voted the evening’s favorite will take home the cellar, a collection of the bottles contributed by attendees. There will be both a red and a white cellar.
The event features hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and music, creating a curated experience to raise funds for the Autism Breakthrough Foundation.
In addition, the evening will feature a silent auction with a range of items from local businesses and makers. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on experiences, gift packages, and unique items throughout the night.
“Take Home the Cellar is one of my favorite nights of the year,” said Dylan Slemp, Director of Development at Autism Breakthrough Foundation. “This is one of the more unique fundraisers that I’ve seen; it’s an interactive experience for our guests that provides a great night out while raising important funds for the services being provided by Autism Breakthrough.”
Tickets are $75 each for admission to the event. Guests must be 21+ to attend. Early registration is encouraged as this event tends to sell out.
The Autism Breakthrough Foundation would like to extend a special thank you to U.S. Bank, the Brewer Family, First Citizens Bank, Ham’N Goody’s, Water into Wine Bistro & Lounge, UT Federal Credit Union, Hart Graphics, and WATE.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available now. For more information, please contact Dylan Slemp at 865-393-0255 or dslemp@breakthroughknoxville.org, or visit https://breakthroughknoxville.org/take-home-the-cellar/.
