Come celebrate your love of reading this Valentine’s Day weekend. On Saturday, February 13 from 2-4 p.m., there will be  a variety of local authors at Barnes & Noble Kingston Pike. Discover your new favorite book or author at your local Barnes & Noble. The following local authors will be participating with their latest book:

Dr. James Williams of the University of Tennessee will be presenting the latest edition of his book “From Thug to Scholar.” This book offers up Williams’ personal experiences as inspiration for growth and positive impact in your own life.

“Fireball” by Julia Walker is about local woman Ms. Hazel Lindsey. Hazel shares the story of her spunky and eventful life even giving readers insight into her eleven marriages and on screen debut.

Dr. Nancy McEntee will be presenting her historical biography of Mrs. Molsey Blount, “Molsey Blount: Colonial First Lady of Tennessee.” Mrs. Blount was local politician William Blount’s wife and one of history’s “forgotten first ladies.”

Pamela Schoenewaldt will be presenting all of her published works including “Under the Same Blue Sky” and “When We Were Strangers.” These fiction titles portray historical characters dealing with societal issues.

“Fanny and Dice” by Rebecca McFarland Kyle is an exciting science fiction reading experience bringing the worlds of the Wild West and Greek mythology together.

“Fiona the Chocolate Chihuahua” is a feel good story about the adoption of a dear pet and its impact on author Melissa Rogers’ life. This book is perfect for the pet lover in your life.

Ralphine and Wayne Major, sibling authors of “Piddle Diddle’s Lost Hat,” will also be in attendance. This kid’s book is a feel good story about the size of life. Piddle Diddle will be making a special Valentine’s appearance for all the young book lovers.
