Brandon Sullivan Named Elementary Assistant Principal at CAK

~ from Christian Academy of Knoxville

The Christian Academy of Knoxville is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Brandon Sullivan as the new Elementary Assistant Principal.

A seasoned educator and leader, Mr. Sullivan brings more than a decade of experience in elementary education, along with a strong background in academic leadership. Before joining CAK’s faculty two years ago, he served as an Academic Dean, where he played a key role in guiding instructional strategy, professional development, and curriculum decisions.

Mr. Sullivan holds a degree from Liberty University and is an active member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, where he serves as an elder and is part of the children’s ministry leadership team.

“Mr. Sullivan’s heart for students and commitment to academic excellence have already made a strong impact in our classrooms,” said Kim Giles, Elementary Principal. “I am so excited to see how Mr. Sullivan’s positive influence on our students will now expand into the entire elementary student population. His knowledge of elementary pedagogy combined with his deep love for the Lord will help us continue advancing our elementary school forward.”

Head of School, Mr. Rich Fulford, added, “I am excited that Mr. Sullivan will move into the position of Assistant Principal for CAK Elementary School. His instructional expertise will serve our teachers well in professional growth, while his warm, approachable, and encouraging personality will provide an outstanding example of Christ-like behavior for our students!”

“I’m incredibly honored to step into the role of Assistant Principal at CAK Elementary,” said Mr. Sullivan. “Teaching in Christian education has been one of the greatest passions of my life, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to continue serving our students, families, and staff in this new capacity. I believe deeply in the mission of Christian education: to pursue all of Christ for all of life, equipping students for their God-given callings. It is a joy to support the CAK mission as we help grow scholars, servants, and disciples to the glory of God alone.”

Brandon and his wife will celebrate four years of marriage this October, and recently welcomed their sweet daughter, Lucy Liorah, on March 30, 2025. Her name is especially meaningful to them. Lucy means ‘light,’ and Liorah is Hebrew for ‘my light comes from God.’ When he’s not working with students, serving at church, or spending time with his family, you’ll likely find Mr. Sullivan out on a long run listening to an audiobook.

The CAK community looks forward to the continued growth and development of the elementary school under Mr. Sullivan’s leadership. Please join us in congratulating him on this new appointment.
