Agenda Below
Safety Fest TN will hold a Community Safety Forum on February 27, 2019, at Pollard Auditorium, in the Pollard Technology Conference Center, 210 Badger Ave., Oak Ridge. The time is 8:00a.m. – 10:00 a.m. An agenda is attached. The event is free and open to the public. The program is kicked off at 8:30, preceded by networking with coffee and bagels provided by Hot Bagel Co. at 8:00 a.m.
From the Worker’s Perspective will feature a panel of 4 safety professionals representing Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Consolidated Nuclear Security, UCOR, and Gem Tech, Inc. These safety experts will discuss issues that impact worker safety on a daily basis on DOE Oak Ridge Reservation sites and the safety practices in place at each site to ensure worker safety. How those safety practices transfer back to the home and into the community will also be explored.
Safety Fest TN is a week-long safety event, April 29-May 2, and features over 80 safety training classes and workshops, along with demonstrations and a Safety Expo, all of which are free to anyone who registers. Safety Fest TN classes are centered at the Y-12 New Hope Center. Other locations in Oak Ridge and Knoxville, including Pollard Technical Center, are also utilized. Registration will open later this spring. For more information and updates, please check www.safetyfesttn.org.
