Thursday, April 28th is the last day for registered Knox County voters to early vote and avoid the lines on Election Day, May 3rd.

During Early Voting, you may appear to vote at any Early Voting site. Delaying until Election Day could result in increased wait times.

The polls will be open at 10 a.m. and stay open until 7 p.m. at all locations except Karns Senior Center (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) on Thursday, April 28th.

Understand your ballot options and review the sample ballot before arrival at the polling place. Sample ballots are available on our website (www.knoxvotes.org).

PRIMARY ELECTION

These elections are held on behalf of the Republican and Democratic parties. There are no independent candidates on either the Republican or Democratic ballots.

When a prospective voter enters the polling place, shows their photo ID, and verifies their address, they will be asked in which primary they wish to vote. While voters in Tennessee DO NOT register by party, a voter must choose a primary in order to cast a ballot in a primary election.
