KNOXVILLE, TN – Friends of the Knox County Public Library will hold its Fall Used Book Sale Sept. 28-30 at Central United Methodist Church, 201 3rd Ave. With the exception of collectible books, most items will be priced at $2 or less. In addition to thousands of books, CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks will also be for sale. Proceeds benefit the Knox County Public Library.

Gun collectors may be interested in a number of donated books about collectible guns, gunsmithing, reloading, and shooting. They include all five volumes in James J. Grant’s series on single shot rifles and several titles by Elmer Keith who was instrumental in the development of the first magnum revolver cartridge. A number of collectible history books will also be among the special collection books.

Thursday, Sept. 28, is for Friends’ members only from 3 to 7 pm. Memberships can be purchased online or at the door. The sale continues on Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. After 1 pm on Saturday, pop-up specials will discount books and other items even further.

The sale is sponsored by the Knox County Public Library, Magpie’s Bakery, Three Rivers Market, Perk City, WATE-TV, the Knoxville News Sentinel, Real Good Kitchen, and Central United Methodist Church.
