Hearing on CB and CA Zones rescheduled for July 15
The Knoxville Focus has learned that the public hearing set for the 17th has been dropped and rescheduled for July 15.
Here’s the information published in this week’s Focus, note the date change:
The Knox County Commission meets on zoning change requests on a new schedule next Monday at 5 p.m. Until now the zoning sessions have followed the regular meetings on the 4th Monday of each week but recently it was changed to the Third Monday. The earlier time and day change apparently is meant to free up county officials and employees who often have had to sit through a regular meeting waiting for the then 7 p.m. zoning sessions.
Prior to the new zoning meeting, a public hearing will be held at 4:30 p.m. on changing the General Business (CA) zoning and Business and Manufacturing (CB) zones to permit uses like clinics, medical and dental offices and multi-housing developments with up to 12 units per acre. The housing would be permitted on review. Upper-level dwellings may also be permitted in the two zones.
Note: This public hearing has been rescheduled for July 15th at 4:30 p.m.
