~ from Marble Springs

In these uncertain times, it is more important than ever to learn from our ancestors. Join us at Marble Springs on Saturday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and learn how they preserved their food with Board Member Jim Buckenmyer. This workshop will cover life before even canning was a possibility. We will cover smoking, salting, pickling, drying, and many other preservation techniques that you can use to create your own food stores at home.

Like all of Jim’s workshops, this will be a hands-on experience so you can learn by doing. Bring your favorite dish to share with everyone for our community lunch.
