The Knox County Schools summer transfer window began Monday, May 2, 2016, and concludes Wednesday, July 1, 2016, at 4 p.m. The summer transfer window provides an opportunity for parents and/or legal guardians to request transfers for their students who meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Students new to the Knox County Schools, including kindergarten students;
• Students who have had a change in family circumstances such as custody/guardianship since February 16, 2016;
• Students with a change of address since February 16, 2016; or
• Students seeking a transfer to a magnet program where space is available.

Parents can apply for transfers for their students in one of four ways:
1. Complete a transfer application form in person at 912 S. Gay Street, Suite 103
2. Fax an application to 865-594-1504
3. Mail an application to Supervisor of Enrollment, Knox County Schools, P.O. Box 2188, Knoxville, TN 37901
4. Apply online
