On July 7, 2023, Knox County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Detectives Parker Hall and Logan Sammons were searching for a stolen vehicle on Summit Hill Drive in Knoxville.

Detectives located the stolen vehicle and observed a male, later identified as Juan Kizer, in the driver’s seat.  Detectives confronted Kizer, and he was taken into custody without incident; Kizer was also wanted for a violation of probation in Jefferson County.  Kizer admitted to detectives that he was responsible for stealing a large quantity of medical supplies.

Kizer led Detectives to Phillips Ave and McCormick Street, where he had stored the stolen supplies. The approximate value of the stolen medical supplies was $54,650.00.

During the investigation led by Detectives Parker Hall, Logan Sammons and Clyde Moore, it was determined there could be more potential theft victims throughout Knox County. Detectives are asking anyone who may be a victim to contact the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Unit at 865-215-2243 and ask to speak to Detective Parker Hall.

Sheriff Tom Spangler and Chief of Detectives David Amburn commend Detectives Hall, Sammons and Moore for their diligence throughout the investigation. Thanks to their efforts, the suspect was identified and arrested, and the property was returned to several victims in Knox County.
