Knox County Announces Government Closures for Monday, Jan. 26

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—Due to freezing temperatures and hazardous road conditions, Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs has announced that all Knox County departments under the executive branch will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26.

Out of an abundance of caution, several additional county offices and services will also be closed on Monday.

Closed Monday, Jan. 26:

  • Knox County Schools and Central Office
  • Knox County Libraries
  • Knox County Convenience Centers
  • Knox County Senior Centers
  • Knox County Health Department
  • Knox County departments under the executive branch
  • Knox County Commission Office – Knox County Commission and Beer Board meetings have been rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 29
  • Knox County Clerk’s Office
  • Knox County Trustee’s Office
  • Knox County Property Assessor’s Office
  • Knox County Register of Deeds’ Office
  • Knox County Election Commission
  • Knox County Circuit Court
  • Knox County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office
  • Knox County Criminal Court
  • Knox County Criminal Court Clerk’s Office
  • Knox County Criminal Sessions Court
  • Knox County Civil Sessions Court
  • Knox County Juvenile Court
  • Knox County Chancery Court
  • Knox County Probate Division
  • Knox County Probation
  • Knox County Public Defender’s Office
  • Knox County District Attorney General’s Office
