In accordance with Governor Lee’s Executive Order No. 16, Vice Mayor Gwen McKenzie has determined that it is necessary for Knoxville City Council to meet and conduct essential City of Knoxville business by electronic means to protect the health, safety, and welfare of Knoxvillians because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore, the Knoxville City Council meeting scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 will be conducted by electronic means.

 

The meeting will be accessible to public attendance by electronic means by Community Television of Knoxville. Reasonable efforts are being made to ensure live public access to this meeting, but if events prevent providing live public access, in accordance with Executive Order No. 16, the Knoxville City Recorder shall make a clear audio or video recording of the meeting available to the public as soon as practical following the meeting, and in no event more than two business days after the meeting.

 

There will not be a physical location for the meeting in order to protect public health, safety, and welfare. Members of City Council will participate electronically in the meeting.
