~ from the Office of Neighborhoods

All are invited for a fun night of neighborhood comradery, food, and support for local non-profits! Come out to the micro-funding event, Knoxville SOUP, this Thursday, Oct. 24, at Kerbela Temple, 315 Mimosa Ave. Doors open at 6 p.m., and presentations start at 6:30 p.m.

The following four organizations will present proposals: Child Hearing Services Holiday Event, Soul Full Southern Nutritional Needs, Vestal Gateway Park, and South Knoxville Elementary Scientists on the Playground.

Attendees are asked for a $5 donation at the door, and after listening to brief presentations on the four projects, eat a meal of soup, salad, bread and dessert. Finally, participants will vote on the project they like best. The project that gets the most votes wins the pot of money from the door.
