McNabb Center cuts ribbon on Claiborne County Recovery Home

The McNabb Center is excited to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the Recovery Home for women in Claiborne County. This facility provides a safe, healthy and sober living environment for women struggling with substance use disorders.  Single adults, ages 18 or older, receive trauma informed care that includes therapy, medication services, case management and relapse prevention skills. Individuals are encouraged on their recovery journey as they live and work together toward sobriety and independence and have access to the guided care of peer support specialists and clinical staff.

“The McNabb Center is expanding services to help women experiencing substance use disorders recover and make a successful transition to the community. This new facility will provide a safe and drug free environment in which to practice and refine skills required to maintain sobriety. We are honored to offer recovery services in Claiborne County,” said Sharon Reid, Executive Director of Hamblen County Services for the McNabb Center.

Those in attendance were Claiborne County Major Joseph Brooks, Claiborne County Commissioner Sherry McCreary, Grainger County Mayor Mike Byrd, Sarah Fansler from Tim Burchett’s Executive Assistant among the other 50 attendees.

“The Recovery Home promotes a lifestyle that embraces wellness, self-confidence, achievement and connection to the recovery community,” said Raneika Greenlee, McNabb Center Diversions/Re-Entry Co-Occurring Services Coordinator.

Funding for the Recovery Home building was made possible by the Creating Homes Initiative 2.0 (CHI 2.0) grant through the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. The Claiborne County government donated the property for the home to the McNabb Center.
