Rev. Michael Martin will begin serving as the new Pastor of Meridian Baptist Church, 6513 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN, on June 1, 2024.

Pastor Michael Martin comes from Seventh Street Baptist Church in Cullman, Alabama, where he served as Senior Pastor for ten years. Michael and his wife, Sarah, have two children: Aubrey and Elijah.

Rev. Martin received his Masters of Divinity in May 2022 from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He received his BA degree in May 1998, doubling in Religion and Psychology, from Union University in Tennessee. He was licensed to the ministry in March 1998 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Beech Bluff, TN, and ordained at Calvary Baptist Church in July 1999 in Osceola, Arkansas.
