Muse Knoxville Celebrates Annual Luncheon, Honors Awardees, and Shares Growth Plans

Muse Knoxville celebrated its 13th annual Muse for All Luncheon on Tuesday, April 7, at the Jacob Building. Presented by First Horizon Foundation and Tennessee Valley Authority, the event highlighted the organization’s mission to expand access to equitable STEAM education, shared updates on future growth, and honored its Core Value Awardees.

Tearsa Smith emceed the program, which featured remarks from John Billings, board chair-elect; Allison Comer, president and CEO; Katie Mixon, vice president of advancement; and Heetesh Patel, president and CEO of Siddiqi Charitable Foundation, along with recognition of individuals and organizations making a meaningful impact in the community.

Several elected officials were in attendance, including Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, members of the Knox County Commission, Knoxville City Council, and the Knox County School Board. Jim Clayton and the Clayton Family Foundation were honored with a standing ovation for their transformational $25 million gift supporting Muse’s transition to the Jacob Building. Muse unveiled the first set of conceptual exhibit renderings for their capital project.

All proceeds from the event support the Muse for All Fund, which provides children of all backgrounds with access to engaging exhibits, hands-on programs, and community outreach initiatives. This fund is essential in sustaining Muse Knoxville’s daily operations and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all visitors.
