National Wreaths Across America Day

Saturday, December 13, Noon

 

Wreaths honoring Veterans in Knoxville’s three veteran cemeteries will be placed following an opening ceremony at noon on December 13.

Volunteers are welcome and encouraged to honor our veterans. There is no requirement to sign up, just show up!

Due to limited space, there will be no parking permitted on cemetery grounds. There will be designated parking in remote lots with shuttles running constantly.

 

Knoxville National Cemetery, 939 Tyson Street NW

Park at the Knox County offices at 1000 North Central Street at Baxter Avenue

Shuttles provided and will run from 9:00am – 2:00pm

 

New East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 East Gov. John Sevier Hwy

Approaching from north: Park at Aqua-Chem, 3001 East Gov. John Sevier Hwy

Approaching from south: Park at Knox-Chapman Utilities, 1905 East Gov John Sevier Hwy

Shuttles provided starting at 10:00am – 2:00pm

Handicapped parking available on cemetery grounds, must have hang tag or license tag.

 

Old East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 5901 Lyons View Pike

Park in Lakeshore Park, accessible from Lyons View Pike or Northshore Drive, follow signage

Shuttles provided and will run from 9:00am – 2:00pm.

 

Volunteers are encouraged to arrive early to park and ride the shuttle to arrive for the noon ceremonies.
