The Knoxville Nighthawks (0-1) will be traveling to Stabler Arena to take on the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (0-1) for their second game of the season this Sunday March 17th.  The St. Patrick’s Day matchup will kick off at 4:00 pm.

The Nighthawks started out their second season at the Columbus Civic Center against the Lions with a disappointing 58-28 loss.  With a new coach and 10 rookies playing arena ball for the first time, Head Coach Cos DeMatteo believes his team will get better. [“The first game is out of the way.  We know what we have to do to improve and we have a lot of work to do in practice this week.  This will be a tough game for us but we are looking forward to the challenge.”] Head Coach Cosmo DeMatteo said.

The Steelhawks and the Nighthawks struggled on the offensive side of the ball during week one.  With both teams seeking their first win of the season.

The Nighthawks-Steelhawks match-up will be available for fans to watch on www.ustream.tv.  There will also be score updates on the Nighthawks’ Facebook and Twitter pages.

The Knoxville Nighthawks do not open their home schedule until March 30th against Richmond Raiders in the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.  That night will be East Tennessee Community Night.  An announcement coming soon as to where free ticket vouchers for the game can be picked up.
