Calling all those on Facebook and social media: Historic Ramsey House is applying for a grant from Capital Bank/First Tennessee Foundation in their 25 Years of Giving competition with voting running through August 31st.
The Ramsey House video submission can be viewed and voted upon here. The 30 organizations that get the most votes for their video will proceed to the next level.
“Share your link, ask your friends to participate and help us to create a new exhibit space dedicated to the original families of East Knox County,” Judy LaRose, executive director of the Historic Ramsey House, asks.
“The families of the French Broad and Holston River Community were the people that sacrificed, suffered hardships and survived all that this new frontier handed them. The new exhibit area will be a permanent place for their stories and artifacts along with how they helped to make Knoxville the city that we are all so proud to be a part of today. Please vote today and each day until the 31st of August.”
