Will part of Brickyard Road in Powell become Tucker Blakely Road?

A meeting is planned for Thursday, November 16, at 6 p.m. at the Powell High School Library hosted by Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs and County Commissioner Rhonda Lee.

Officer Tucker was killed in the line of duty on October 2 and part of Brickyard Road may be named in his honor. The public is invited to the meeting and asked to provide input. The renaming would be for the stretch of road at Powell High School, which Tucker attended, and would run from West Emory to West Beaver Creek Drive. The event is scheduled for 5:30 until 6:30 p.m.
