The Salvation Army Knoxville Announces Giving Tuesday Match: House-Hasson Hardware to Double Every Dollar Donated at Red Kettles

This Giving Tuesday, generosity in Knoxville will go twice as far. The Salvation Army Knoxville Area Command is proud to announce that House-Hasson Hardware will match every dollar donated at any Red Kettle in Knox County on Tuesday, December 3, up to $25,000.

“This match could not come at a more important time,” said Major Cameron Henderson, Knoxville Area Commander for The Salvation Army. “When you give on Giving Tuesday, you’re helping us provide warm meals, safe shelter, and hope for families who are struggling right here in our community — and House-Hasson is doubling that impact.”

The Salvation Army in Knoxville serves thousands of neighbors each year through emergency shelter, food assistance, case management, and recovery programs. One of its most needed — and most unique — services is the Shafer Family Center, which provides safe shelter for families with fathers and children together, one of the only shelter options in the region that keeps families together during crisis.

“With rising requests for shelter from families with fathers who would otherwise be separated, Giving Tuesday gifts are poised to truly change lives right here in Knoxville,” Major Henderson added. “This is the perfect moment for anyone considering a larger gift to step forward. Your donation will go twice as far.”
