Early voting starts Wednesday

There are about 263,918 registered voters in Knox County’s nine districts and some 18 offices on the ballot for the May 5th primary. Early voting starts this Wednesday, and voters may choose any precinct to cast their ballot.
Early voting is open through Thursday, April 30.
There are three new voting locations: the Farragut Community Center at 239 Jamestowne Boulevard, the Firestone Building in front of the EXPO Center at 5523 Clinton Highway, and the Faithway Baptist Church across from the Halls Senior Center at 4402 Crippen Road.
Existing early voting locations are at the City-County Building, Downtown West, Eternal Life Harvest Center at Five Points, Meridian Baptist Church, New Harvest Park, Gibbs Ruritan Club, the Carter Senior Center and the Karns Senior Center.
In general, early voting hours are from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; 10 a.m. through 7 p.m. on Wednesdays; and 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The City-County Building has special hours for Saturday, April 25 (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.), and Meridian Baptist has special hours for Wednesdays (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) and Thursday, April 23 (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.).
