Jackie Raley named East Tennessee Chief Deputy Assessor of the Year for 2023

Jackie Raley, Knox County Chief Deputy Assessor of Property, was awarded the East Tennessee Chief Deputy Assessor of the Year Award for 2023 before the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers. The award was presented on behalf of the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers by the president, Judy Smith, and the executive director, Will Denami.

‘’The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers proudly recognizes Jackie Raley for exemplifying the highest standards of professionalism and dedication in service to the citizens of Knox County and name her as the East Tennessee Chief Deputy Assessor of the Year for 2023,” said President Judy Smith.

Also speaking during the award ceremony was Executive Director Will Denami who said, ‘’Once again Jackie Raley has earned the praise of her colleagues for her professionalism and hard work on behalf of the citizens of Knox County and is being recognized with the East Tennessee Chief Deputy Assessor of the Year for 2023 Award. Having twice earned the statewide Chief Deputy award in 2019 and 2022, Jackie does not rest on her laurels and she continues to set an example for everyone to follow when it comes to her dedication and tireless effort.’’

The assessor’s office has an important mandate to make sure everyone is treated fairly and we take the responsibility very seriously and work very hard every day to provide high quality service to our citizens,” said Jackie Raley, Knox County Chief Deputy Assessor of Property.

The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers is a professional organization composed of the elected officials serving as Assessors of Property in Tennessee. The TNAAO’s purpose is to work on behalf of the people of Tennessee to ensure fairness and uniformity in statutes and procedures regarding the assessment of property, as well as, to promote excellence through best practices and professionalism amongst those charged with this vital task.
