Democrat-Socialists Are Destroying California

Two things that remain incurable are: stupid and crazy.  We have Americans in this country who believe Communism or socialism would be just peachy keen here in the United States when it has worked nowhere else in the entire world throughout history.  In other words, since the beginning of time until now, Communism and socialism have failed every human being except for a privileged class who skimmed the cream off the top.  Name any significant cure for any disease that was founded in a Communist or socialist country; you can’t because there were none.  Try and think of any invention or innovation and you will remain stumped because there are none.

One of the best examples of how to ruin the economy of a country and the lives of just about everyone who lives in it is that of Venezuela.  Venezuela was at one time one of the most prosperous countries in the entire world. After socialism/communism took root, people slaughtered the animals in the zoo for food and lived pretty much in misery.

The Bible tells us, “By their fruits ye shall know them.”  For those pondering how to vote in the upcoming midterm elections, we should remind ourselves of the fruits of the Democrat-Socialists who deliver something mighty far from affordability.

California could be the American version of a state run into the ground by the excesses of the Democrat-Socialism in action.  People are leaving California in droves, many of them coming here to Tennessee.  People generally don’t flee from states that are nice, stable places to live. California has been blessed with one of the best climates and some of the most beautiful scenery on earth. It is a telling commentary that the reason people are leaving the once-Golden State in droves is likely because of how badly it is governed.  Everything costs MORE in California, which should be shocking as the Democrat-Socialists hold virtually every elective office.  Affordability is merely a word in California.  Consumers pay more for a gallon of gas in California than anywhere in the country.  In some rural areas that attract tourists, the cost exceeds $9 – $10 per gallon.  California also has the highest excise tax on gas in the country, a whopping 61.2 cents per gallon.

It has one of the highest costs of living in the country.  That’s right, the Democrat-Socialists talk about affordability, but they can never manage to bring it to working families. In fact, the excessive taxes to support its very generous welfare state weigh heavily upon Californians.

Between the state and local governments, California is $1.6 trillion in debt, which includes some of the poshest pensions for public employees in the country. And who are some of the biggest contributors to the top Democrat-Socialists candidates in California?  Why, the unions whose members receive those overly generous pensions, where some employees are making more than they did when they were working.  Nobody can be surprised that much of California’s serious debt involves unfunded pension debt.  There is approximately $269 billion in unfunded pension debt in California, but they have the money to pay for health care and more besides for noncitizens of this country.  They generously subsidize people who produce nothing but bills while working families struggle to make ends meet.  California also has the highest unfunded healthcare liabilities for retirees in the nation, thanks to the public stewardship of the Democrat-Socialists in charge of the government.  That is estimated to be $175 billion on its own.  They declared war on homelessness, which is now worse than ever, and California has a bonded indebtedness of $513 billion, which they’ve used to fund infrastructure projects like the rail project, which has never gone anywhere.  California also has $67 billion in liabilities for infrastructure that has been deferred.  California is not spreading around the wealth, but they are spreading around the debt, which is calculated, conservatively, to be $12,500 for every man, woman, and child in the state.

The state budget, with a Democrat-Socialist governor and a large majority of Democrat-Socialists in the state legislature, seems never able to contend with a continuous gap between incoming revenue and expenses.  The shortages average about $15 – $25 billion.  Gavin Newsom likes to brag about California’s economy, but California’s debt is roughly 34% of its GDP.

Have they looked for fat to trim?  Nope, nor have they cut back on things they can’t afford.  They have resorted to the last-ditch hope of Democrat-Socialists – – – “the tax on billionaires.”  And they have been surprised at the number of very wealthy people relocating to Tennessee, Florida and Texas. In fact, not only do they not intend to spend less, but they also tax more to have more to spend.

Because Democrat-Socialists believe businesses exist merely to tax and never give any thought to job creation in preference to expanding the welfare rolls, California has lost more than 366,000 jobs during a time when the United States gained around 5.4 million new jobs.

While California was facing a $58 billion shortfall, Gavin Newsom was asking for an additional $6.38 billion for bonds to build drug treatment facilities and “permanent housing” for the homeless.

California is the test tube baby for what a Democrat-Socialist Congress will bring to the entire country.  Hakeem Jeffries comes from New York and surely everybody has finally figured out there is no such thing as a “moderate” Democrat.  Abigail Spanberger just proved that, once again, to some naive people in Virginia, which she would like to turn into California on the Atlantic.

The Democrat-Socialists have never made anything better for working families and they won’t, as they are incapable of it.  They’ve latched on to “affordability,” but their idea of achieving it is to give more to people who don’t work, pamper the special interest groups, and tax the stuffing out of working people.  All the proof you need is to look out west to California.

If you are still not convinced, look at New York and Illinois, both of which have been spectacularly mismanaged by people too busy creating new pronouns for people, telling us that men can breastfeed and have babies, who hate this country and are still doubling down on “them” instead of us.  You get what you vote for.  Just ask the people who have left California.
