On Monday evening, a gathering of enthusiastic supporters filled the room for the campaign kickoff of Judge Andrea Kline at Calhoun’s on the River. Judge Kline proudly announced the launch of her campaign for General Sessions Court Judge, Division IV, representing Knox County. Judge Kline was sworn in as the judge of General Sessions Court, Division IV, on December 26, 2025, and is running as a candidate in the August 2026 election.

The kickoff featured food, drinks and networking opportunities, along with an engaging introduction by Nate Ogle from the esteemed Burks and Ogle Law Firm in Knoxville. Nate discussed various ways individuals can contribute to and support the campaign, emphasizing the impact of displaying yard signs, making financial donations, and actively spreading the message about the importance of voting. He expressed his strong belief that Judge Kline is the ideal candidate for the role, highlighting her qualities and vision that make her exceptionally suited for the position.

Judge Kline expressed her gratitude to the attendees and everyone who has supported her campaign, stating, “I am thankful and deeply touched that all of you are here—elected officials, my children and family, and the legal community. I appreciate the trust the county commissioners have placed in me during this process.

“I have invested 30 years in this system, and I feel a responsibility to uphold the integrity of our courtrooms. My goal is to consistently follow the rule of law, protect constitutional rights, and treat everyone who comes into the courtroom with dignity and respect.”

After some time in private practice, Judge Kline joined the Knox County District Attorney’s Office in 2000. In 2014, she pioneered Tennessee’s first Elder Abuse Special Prosecution Unit, collaborating with East Tennessee ElderWatch and the Tennessee Vulnerable Adult Coalition to address elder abuse.  Throughout her career, Kline has prosecuted thousands of cases across various courts.

Reflecting on the event, Judge Kline expressed her heartfelt gratitude to The Knoxville Focus, stating, “I am truly excited about tonight and the incredible support from the legal community, as well as from friends and family. I’m eager to embark on this journey!”

The atmosphere was charged with optimism and camaraderie, setting a promising tone for her campaign ahead.
